The Lihium battery is firmly integrated

The smoke detector is powered by a lithium battery. As a rule, the lifetime of the smoke detector is ten years. Please note that this is the battery life and smoke detector. The integrated lithium battery should and can not be changed. When the voltage drops with the battery, a beep sounds at regular intervals thirty days before the complete exhaustion and the LED lights up. The Hekatron Genius H will be fully functional from then on for thirty days. But then also the time came when the smoke detector is completely replaced. The 10-year battery is firmly installed and thus not only the very low maintenance effort, but also a high degree of security. Thus, no replacement of the battery is required.  

The pollution compensation and prognosis

The Hekatron Genius H smoke detector is equipped with the automatic soiling compensation. The measuring chamber of the smoke alarm is checked around the clock. If, in the case of self-checking, impurities are then found, the alarm threshold is automatically adapted to these new conditions. This significantly reduces the risk of false alarms and ensures the same sensitivity. Due to the contamination prediction, a prediction is made every year for the determined state from the measuring chamber. This indicates whether the smoke detector remains functional without restrictions for a period of 15 months. If the prognosis shows that contamination has already progressed too far and the alarm threshold can not be adjusted, the negative function test is carried out. As such, the function test is carried out only by pressing the test key.  

Mounting

For the Genius H, the dimensions are 10.4 by 10.4 by 4.8 centimeters. Compared to other stand-alone smoke detectors, the Genius H is slightly smaller. The smoke detector is white and it can convince through the unobtrusive and simple design. An LED signals the functionality of the smoke alarm detector in the interval of 48 seconds. In the night hours the LED is automatically dimmed. There are different possibilities for mounting. For the base, the installation works by two or one drill hole on the ceiling. The mounting material is included in the delivery. The detector can also be attached with adhesive pads. Only VdS approved adhesive pads may be used. On the base, the smoke detector is turned on and it is immediately activated and ready for use.
