The nuPro A -200-Box is a comprehen- sive and highly precise compact loudspeaker box equipped with the most modern DSP technology for the areas of multimedia, hi-fi or recording studio. It was particularly important for manufacturers to reproduce the music in hi-fi quality, which is generated by the computer. It is also possible to process the audio signals via the electrical and optical digital inputs in such a way that they sound as if these source devices installed in modern flat-panel televisions are generated. One of the highlights of this box is the complete digital processing of the entire input signals, without these have been converted analogously in the meantime. Likewise, with the pulses arriving at the analogue cinch input, a digitalisation and a feed to the signal processor takes place. Here, the frequencies are split, the course is optimized and the signal is sent in digital form to the output stages. This causes the diaphragms of the two chassis to vibrate. This results in the best possible signal processing for all audio and video media players. Due to the fact that this box has neutral playback characteristics and versatile adjustment possibilities, this version is also suitable for use as a professional monitoring monitor, for example in sound studios.

Construction and housing

The contents of the box consist of an active switch and two powerful digital amplifiers with a power of 100 watts each for the low and high frequencies. The acoustic signal first passes through the active DSP switch and then goes to the integrated amplifiers. This results in precise separation and linearization for the frequency ranges. The case of the box is made of solid MDF material. This suppresses resonances and creates a clean sound image. The rounded longitudinal edges prevent a damaging edge dispersion and thus help to produce a precise sound image. On the back is the bass reflex opening. The visible sanding surface of the case in the colors white or black contributes to the comfortably reserved outer appearance of the box. In addition, a black fabric cover is included in the scope of supply which can be attached magnetically to the front of the box.  

The chassis version

This box contains a newly developed tweeter, which is equipped with a silk dome and a vibrating coil diameter of 25 millimeters. The specially damped rear chamber with Ferrofluis ensures a high load capacity and has an acoustically unobtrusive protective grille. The medium as well as bass range is taken over by a chassis with a diameter of 15 centimeters. This chassis is equipped with an inverse dust cover and a polypropylene membrane. The flow-optimized basket is made of die-cast aluminum and is equipped with a ventilated centering span. This is to avoid heat build-up and distortions.  

The operation as well as the adjustment possibilities

A remote control is included in the credit card format. This operation allows you to perform the normal operations such as tone settings or source selection directly. A liquid crystal display is mounted on the front side. This display provides information on the operating state and the available options. You can also turn them off. A control pad is located next to the display, which allows you to make various settings, such as input selection or volume and sound control, etc.  

Sound control

With the help of the installed ATM modules, the playback characteristics can be adapted to the available room conditions as well as to personal preferences. Here one is able to lighten an unsatisfactory sound mixing or to reproduce also with much smoother tones. By means of the also available mids / treble regulators, the frequency access can be adjusted continuously and linearly from the high frequency range to the low frequency range. The bass control can be used to change the bass intensity. This makes sense mainly when, at low volume, still very soft bass can be heard.  

connections

The active loudspeaker used there is equipped with three digital inputs (USB, S / PDIF optical and S / PDIF electrical) and an analogue RCA input. Thus one is able to connect up to three sources with digital sound output and a device with analogue sound output at the same time.  

energy

The device is equipped with an energy saving system. This allows the unit to switch the loudspeaker on independently and to switch the unit into the power-saving standby mode if it is not used. Standby consumption is 0.4 watts. The connection can be connected to mains voltages from 110/120 to 230/240 volts.
