For summer I needed new summer tires. My choice for the summer tires has fallen on a model from Michelin.Specifically, my choice has fallen on the Michelin Energy Saver + 205/55 R16 91V summer tire. Why this was the summer tire of Michelin, you can find in this experience report.

Solid should be the summer tire, which should be characterized by a long shelf life. Also the driving behavior by the summer tire should be correspondingly good. These are, however, only two of the factors which were decisive for the purchase for me. The Michelin Energy Saver + 205/55 R16 91V summer tire convinced me with both of these factors. Not to neglect was of course also the price, the summer tire should be at the expense manageable. The Energy Saver + 205/55 R16 91V summer tire also impressed me with the cost. In comparison to the other models, the Michelin Energy Saver + 205/55 R16 91V summer tire is not to be beat here. These all factors have convinced me to buy the summer tire. Ultimately, however, the summer tire also had to prove itself in practice, but also the summer tire convinced me.  

Technical details for summer tires

Made of a high-quality rubber compound with a good profile, the summer tire is made by Michelin. Thus the profile has several millimeters. The technical data are, of course, not to be neglected in a summer tire from Michelin.These technical data include, for example, the fuel efficiency class. Here, the Michelin Energy Saver + Summer tire has the fuel efficiency class B. In the case of wet adhesion, the summer tire fulfills the requirements from the wet adhesion class A. In the case of the rolling noise, the Michelin tire reaches a value of 70 dB. This value is in class 2. The size of the summer tire is 60 x 60 x 21 cm, with a weight of 8 kg. The summer tire is colored in a black design.The Michelin tire is available without rims, you have to buy it separately, but this is not a disadvantage with regard to the performance data and the price during the summer tire.  

Experiences with the summer tire of Michelin

Even though I have only been using the summer tire from Michelin for several months, I have already traveled a few thousand kilometers with the summer tires. My experiences with the Michelin Energy Saver + summer tires are so far consistently good. As already mentioned, I have traveled thousands of kilometers with the summer tires, so far I have not been able to detect any wear on the summer tires. Also, I have so far not been able to notice any losses in driving behavior. Overall, the driving behavior during the summer tires is very good. Even at high temperatures the summer tires do not stick. Especially in the case of the steering behavior one notices this clearly, but also in the fuel consumption. Due to the good driving behavior and the associated ease, the fuel consumption has decreased noticeably. Bottom line you notice this in the money bag. Here you can see the Energy Saver + in the name of the Michelin Summer tire. In connection with the driving behavior is naturally also the question of the volume of the summer tire of Michelin.But also the tire convinces by a very quiet driving behavior, whereby there are quite cuts in wet road conditions, but later more. To be highlighted with the summer tires is still the adhesion in the wet. Finally, it rains once in the summer, but also there are no disadvantages in the driving behavior.  

Easy assembly of the summer tires

The installation is not insignificant in the Michelin summer tire. The assembly of the summer tires I took over myself and not commissioned. In principle, the Michelin summer tires are very easy to handle. Here the low weight of the summer tires of only 8 kg is a great advantage. So the summer tire is well in the hand. Also the assembly itself, was possible without problems. Here again, the summer tires convinced.  

A small shortage of the Michelin summer tire

After four months in the use of the Michelin Energy Saver + summer tire, a shortage has also been shown.Depending on weather conditions and road conditions, the tire is clearly noticeable when driving. This is particularly true when driving on a wet road with the summer tire. Just then, the summer tire is noticeable in its volume. This is a small disadvantage, the manufacturer should improve.
