After I have seen with my girlfriend illuminated glass
shelves, I wanted so synonymous. She told me how I can do it myself, so I ordered the Avantek DD-L1 LED Strip Light. The brilliant thing is that you can stick it under or to the back of the disc, so they are then almost invisible and you can look forward to the great light.
What convinced me also of the purchase, is that it is LEDs. These are not only regarded as particularly safe because they do not become hot, but are also very energy-saving and should last long. So far I had no LEDs, so it was slow time. This light strip is one with the RGB colors, which is why many variations are possible.
They can also be used inside and outside, as the packaging shows because of the "IP65" print, which means that it is dust and splash-proof. 5 meters long and equipped with 60 LEDs.
Packaging and content
The light strip comes in a mainly black cardboard box, which can be opened. After opening, you will first find a milky-transparent bag in which the lights are wound on a black round coil.
It smelled a bit of plastic, but that is only very discreet. Underneath the light strip, there is a black plastic dish, in which the cables are housed. There was a black power cable, a black adapter and a white RGB controller, as well as a small manual in English, a controller explanation and the remote control with 16 color settings and 4 programs as well as a setting to make the lights brighter and darker.
Everything important
is therefore what I expect from such a light streak, because all too much Schnick-Schnack I did not want - should be only for the shelf.
Decoration to my taste
Since my English is not so good, I've read on the Internet and found that my girlfriend is right and I can cut the strip as to please. Since my shelf, which I so gladly wanted to light, is only 40 cm long, I have approached and shortened it.
This was funny at first, because I was afraid of doing something wrong, but everything went smoothly. With a pair of scissors I cut at the marked place and then tried once, if everything was still intact. After that I have attached them, which is with the adhesive strip very simple and above all solid.
Now my shelf is bright in the colors I like. Every day I can choose another, if I want to. This is especially great when you want to make theme-ending with you and adjust the lighting. Somewhere else I have not tried them, but I will probably order the same soon again, because this kind of light chains is really practical.
Conclusion
All in one I would give a recommendation for the Avantek Lichtstreifen.For me, he has brought two minus points, but these are not so serious that I would advise against the purchase or send them back.
Due to the plug connections, one does not really need any instructions, the functions are also not very extensive, therefore also for the remote control would be absolutely necessary. This is, of course, only my opinion, if someone else so easy to cope with this light strip, must be tried, but I type.
If you are looking for a way to create fast and easy lighting, I would definitely recommend the Avantek DD-L1 LED Strip Light. Above all, it makes a high-quality impression, because the material is well-processed.
For the price of about 30 euros, which I paid, I absolutely can not complain. Just because you can also use them outside. I think, depending on the background, you can stick it 2-3 times and put it somewhere else, but if this is done regularly, the tape must be renewed or you have to think of another solution.
