A new rowing machine should be, my choice has fallen on the SportPlus SP-MR-008 rowing machine. The following test report shows why this rowing machine has become and what experiences I have done with it.

The rowing machine is not only very robust, but also equipped with a training computer and also fulfills all requirements with regard to safety. This quality with the rowing machine and also the cheap purchase price, finally convinced me completely.

Solidly made of steel is the rudder machine SportPlus SP-MR-008. The seat of the rowing machine is made of PU material. The rowing machine is equipped with a cable pull and a swinging mass of around 8 kg. In addition, it has a magnetic brake system. Also equipped with the steering wheel of SportPlus is a receiver for 5 kHz chest straps.The SportPlus rowing machine is also equipped with a small computer. This computer records a variety of data, such as the number of rudder hits, the associated energy consumption, the beat rate, time, but also health values such as the pulse. The rowing machine can be used by users up to a user weight of around 150 kg. The SportPlus rowing machine is color-coded in a white design. The dimensions of the rowing machine are 190 x 51 x 77 cm, with a weight of 26 kg.  

Safety at the SportPlus SP-MR008 rowing machine

Not to be neglected is, of course, the safety of the steering wheel of SportPlus. But here you do not have to worry about using this rowing machine, which meets all your requirements. Thus, the SportPlus rowing machine is tested according to EN ISO 20957-1 and also according to the standard EN 957-7.  

Handling the SportPlus rowing machine

The handling of the SportPlus rowing machine is very simple, a trancing is fun. Through the training computer with the rowing machine you always have a very good overview of your own training. This is also a big advantage with the rowing machine. Not to be neglected in the Rowing Machine of SportPlus is, of course, the transportability. As mentioned in the technical details, the rowing machine weighs 26 kg. But in spite of this weight and the dimensions, you can easily transport the Rowing Machine from SportPlus. This is made possible by means of castors, through which rollers the rowing machine can be transported easily and quickly from A to B and this without great effort.  

Small deficiency in the rowing machine

In the use of the SportPlus rowing machine I unfortunately have a small deficiency. This is due to this lack of use of the rowing machine, the operating noise. Especially with a high beat frequency with the rowing machine it comes to loud ratter noises. These rattling noises have no influence on the functionality of the rowing machine, but disturb the training. A precise cause for the ratter sounds I have not yet been able to establish.
