The eight-inch LCD TFT color display convinces with a high contrast of 400: 1. The screen with an image diagonal of 20.3 centimeters allows a detailed reproduction of the digital images. The device displays 4: 3 or 16: 9 images.

For optimum image quality, the Photobase frame offers an adjustable contrast-matching function. With the help of this, you can make your photos either more natural or more colorful.  

Common image files and storage media

The frame supports the popular image files JPEG, JPG. The electronic collage is suitable for reading SD cards, SDHC cards, MM cards, and the MemoryStick. The card reader is integrated. In addition, the device contains a connector for your USB stick.  

Manageable functionality

The range of functions is manageable with full-screen, thumbnail, zoom, slideshow, and contrast setting. With the miniature function, you keep an overview of your photo files and simply select desired pictures. Especially with the zoom function you focus certain image details. The frame does not provide automatic recognition of image orientation. You can turn the images on the PC before you reach the optimum playback. The unit does not have a function to rotate or edit the images directly on the display.  

Other practical features

In addition to playing image files, the device offers a clock, a calendar and a practical timer. So you have all the important information at any time in view. For example, use the Intenso Photobase as a calendar with clocks on your desk or, depending on your choice, to convert photographs to photographs.

The use of the digital picture frame is very easy. The menu is custom. Using intuitive pictograms, you control the menu intuitively. For even simpler use, the digital picture frame includes a remote control. It enables the customer to make settings comfortably from the sofa without programming on the frame itself.

The package contains a stand, a power supply, the remote control including batteries as well as a multilingual operating instructions. The plastic frame is wide and shiny. It is available in plain black only. The generously dimensioned frame, however, distracts the display.  

Advantages of the Intenso Photobase

The device is favorable in the abolition and offers with its eight-inch display (20.3 cm image diagonal) a generous view of your photos. The image resolution with 800 x 600 pixels is sufficient for the reproduction of images in 4: 3 and 16: 9 aspect ratios. The maximum brightness convinces in test. The LCD screen is relatively independent perspective. The image data are transferred via the integrated card reader or a USB port. The operation works intuitively by means of easy-to-understand pictograms. The remote control facilitates programming in addition. Particularly noteworthy is the timer function. It allows the programming of on and off cycles, which also saves electricity. The device comes with a clear range of functions: full-screen, thumbnail, zoom, slide show and contrast adjustment function. A watch as well as a calendar are the perfect complement. The device is set up vertically as well as horizontally, but the Intenso Photobase does not recognize the orientation independently.  

Disadvantages of the digital picture frame

The device has few functions. Zoom function, contrast, slideshow, thumbnail and full screen mode are standard features. An option for random playback is not integrated. For those who want to dispense with additional unmanageable functions, the device turns out to be a blessing and is extremely practical. The frame is relatively conspicuous and deflects any of the pictures from. There is only one version available in black. Customers complained about a slight green color of the pictures as well as a subtle blur in the picture of the photographs on the frame.
