The material, the processing and other technical data

The Western guitar F 370 from the manufacturer Yamaha impresses with a simple and classic look in the Westernlook (in the color Tobacco Brown). Fichte was used for the guitar cover, while the floor and frames were made of naturope (wood from carob trees). The sound body of the acoustic instrument, polished to a high gloss, thus receives a delicate and noble grain. The material of the handleboard is made of hard palisander wood (also known as rosewood) and has 21 frets. The corpus of the guitar begins at the 15th Covenant. The acoustic guitar has a total weight of 2.3 kg (without packaging) and has the following mass: length 104 cm, width 48 cm, depth 14 cm. The length of the string measures 64.8 cm, the length of the string is 4.3 cm. The processing of the material is described as clean and high quality.  

The sound quality and handling

The guitar has six standard strings made of steel (Strength Light) and surprised by its unexpectedly beautiful and balanced sound (assuming the strings were tuned after delivery). The sound image is described as harmonious and full, even on the upper frets the guitar is clean and play without clashing. The guitars body is designed in the Western guitars typical dreadnought style and thus allows a loud and assertive sound. The string stop of the F 370 is specified as precise. Due to the rugged design of the guitar, inaccurate or untrained handle grips have less impact on the sound quality, especially on the more difficult grips, and the model forgives a play error. The handling of the Yamaha F 370 due to its slim neck is comparable to the handling of an electric guitar. There is also sufficient clearance between the individual strings to be able to grasp them cleanly. This model is ideal for a little more elegant hands. This Western guitar from Yamaha is also recommended as an entry-level model for these reasons. With appropriate treatment, storage and care, this acoustic guitar will achieve a long life and play time. As a disadvantage for beginners, the missing cutaway on the corpus of the guitar may have an effect. Especially the high positions can be not particularly easy for beginners.  

price-performance ratio

The Yamaha F 370 Western Guitar is described as an uncomplicated, solid and sound stable instrument and can be priced from 130 to 170 euros. This investment is, however, compared to similar guitars from other manufacturers of the same price segment by the band as worthwhile. Critics such as sound quality, handling, processing of the instrument and ultimately the price speak very much for this Western guitar from the house Yamaha. However, no transport bag is included with the instrument, nor is a carrying strap nor a tuning device (tuner or tuning fork).
