I was looking for a camera for my camera equipment. According to the view of several models, my choice has fallen on the Walimex Pro Schwebestativ. Why this model was and how the experiences with it are, can be taken from this experience report.

Not too heavy, a good workmanship, as many connections and also in the price, the Schwebestativ should not be too expensive. As I said at the beginning, I looked at several models. Ultimately, my choice has fallen on the Walimex Pro Schwebestativ. The reasons for this were essentially, on the one hand the low weight, but also the connection possibilities. Especially the connection possibilities with the Schwebestativ allow a good equipment. And, of course, the Walimex Pro Schwebestativ did not neglect the purchase price either. Especially in this price range, you could not find a comparable model.  

Technical data for the Walimex Pro Schwebestativ

Among other things made from aluminum is Walimex Pro Schwebestativ. The swinging hinge is equipped with numerous threads. The video light or the microphone can be attached to these threads. The thread has a size of 1/4 inch. One thing you have to consider at the Schwebestativ, it is suitable for the whole connections only for two models of Canon, namely for the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and ultimately for the model 7D. Where one can use the Schwebestativ also for other cameras, but with smears. The dimensions of the floating hinge are 12.4 x 18.4 cm and the outer dimensions 16.4 x 19.4 x 8 cm. The weight of the suspension is 630 grams. This makes the weighing table very light, but it can be used later. Color is held in a black design.

Handling of the Walimex Pro suspension

The handling of the Walimex Pro swinging hinge is not difficult, this is mainly due to the low weight and the processing. In addition, the suspension hinge is still very handy with its dimensions. Even after the installation of the technology like a camera, one comes to this still very well and has no restrictions. It is also possible to make changes to the suspended hinge quickly and without great effort. The right tool inform of an Allen key is included.  

Lack of the Schwebestativ of Walimex

Overall I am very satisfied with the Walimex Pro Schwebestativ, whereby I have found a defect. And I have the Schwebestativ also in the outdoor area, I have then determined that the corrosion marks on the screws has come. This is, of course, so good, which can reduce the durability of the screws. Here, the manufacturer has to carry out an after-sale, since this lack has restricted the usability of the Walimex Pro Schwebestativ.
