The two S6 variants of Samsung are the successors of the previous Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4. The Edge version of the Galaxy S6 is very high-quality due to its light and thin casing. Compared to the normal S6 it is still somewhat lighter and thinner. The screen is rounded on both sides and thus a spectacular impression is made. Samsung has installed a Gorilla glass 4 plate at the front and rear and is placed on the optically attractive aluminum frame and on shiny colors. On the upper and lower side there is the slot for the SIM card and the connections.The Android keys and the two illuminated sensor buttons are there below the display. With the Homebutton there is the touch-based fingerprint scanner and the much more crisp pressure point. No one has to wipe more about the button, but simply a finger is placed on the button. With a microUSB 2.0 connector comes the edge and support the induction charger standards WPC and PMA and also Bluetooth 4.1. For the noble design, the removable battery and the micro-SD-Slot have to be dispensed with. There is no removable back cover on the unit. The problem with the SD slot is not bad, because the S6 Edge there are finally three memory versions. There is therefore the variant with 32 GB, with 65 GB and with 128 GB, whereby there are of course price differences. The memory always has to be considered, that of course still the operating system is withdrawn.  

The tricky display

Except for the curvature, the display does not differ from the S6. It resolves in quad-HD and also measures 5.1 inches. Colors and brightness are impressive. The brightness is excellent for AMOLED and the contrast is excellent. One of the best displays on smartphones is the S6 also by the white point and the color space. According to Samsung, in the automatic mode, the display should have more than 600 Cd / m² with incident sunlight. The reading can thus be simplified. The normal display display runs over the edge as compared to the note edge and thus can be watched in full format videos. Each has the choice whether the right or the left edge should be active. For example, if the display is deactivated at the edge, the time is displayed. Also, there are shown incoming messages, missed calls and contacts. Certain colors can be assigned to the favorite contacts. The edge can flash in a corresponding color when a call is received. Anyone can simply reject a call or accept the call. For the rejection, the sensor is briefly covered next to the camera and the callers are already given the information with the aid of a definable SMS. The edge shortens the way to the display and thus the operation is simplified.  

Genuine battery and solid acoustics

Making calls with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone is great fun, because everything sounds loud, clear and also better than the normal S6. With the supplied headphones, the sound is really strong and the hands-free is good. Sound also sounds the external edge speakers. With the 2.600 mAh battery, Samsung delivers one of the most consistent and best performance. With over 8 hours, the online run time is very long and with almost 10 hours the telephony duration is also great. A completely emptied battery can be fully charged by the included power supply in only about 1.5 hours. Inductive charging is inherently supported and thus the energy is more comfortable, but much slower than with the USB power supply. With the integrated energy saving modes the running times can be driven upwards.  

The camera, the standards and the extras

Samsung is again set to 16 megapixels and compared to the S5, the maximum aperture of F1.9 is used. There are a lot of settings for the camera, so the ISO value and the white balance can be individually adjusted. By double-clicking on the Homebutton, the camera starts very quickly and it also focusses quickly. With low noise there is also in bad light, there are natural colors and a great sharpness. The flash works great, is not too bright and motives are illuminated evenly. On the back there is the UHD camcorder and at the front the QHD camcorder. The photo front camera provides about 5 megapixels and there is the wide self-mode. As a standard, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Smartphone has almost everything the current high-end smartphones can have. For the immense online tempo, LTE has the category 6. There are, for example, S Voice, S Health, Heart Rate Monitor, Fingerprint Scanner, Inductive Charging, NFC, Bluetooth and the infrared transmitter. It can be said for this reason that the Samsung S6 Edge just so before features bursts.
