A new circular saw I needed, my purchase choice has finally fallen on the model of Metabo KS 66 circular saw. The reasons for the purchase decision of the Metabo KS 66 circular saw and experiences in the use, can be seen from this experience report.

The new circular saw is not too expensive. At this point, the Metabo KS 66 circular saw convinced me. Convinced by the purchase, the Metabo KS 66 circular saw also me through the various adjustment possibilities and the protection possibilities. In doing so, I receive positively not only the safety devices for a safe working, but also the protective devices for the engine. But later on in the technical details. The lubrication system always ensures the correct lubrication of the gearbox. The circular saw is also equipped with cut-off carbon brushes. Both the lubrication system and the cut-off carbon brushes are a good protection for the electric motor with the Metabo KS 66 circular saw. The Metabo KS 66 circular saw is equipped with various adjustment options. These adjustment possibilities include, for example, the angle, but also the cutting depth. Thus, the cutting depth of the Metabo circular saw can be set between 0 and 66 mm. The circular saw is equipped with a connection for dust extraction. The advantage of this is that the suction connection of the Metabo circular saw can be turned and locked. This allows you to adapt the dust extraction to your specific requirements. The Metabo KS 66 circular saw is supplied together with a saw blade, the saw blade has a diameter of 190 mm. The saw blade is made of hard metal and has a long service life. The Metabo KS 66 circular saw comes in dimensions of 42 x 42 x 27.5 cm, with a weight of 6 kg. The KS 66 circular saw is color-coded in green and silver.  

Safety of the circular saw

Not unimportant with the Metabo KS 66 is, of course, also the safety, but here the circular saw convinces completely. The Metabo circular saw is equipped with an S-automatic safety clutch. This safety coupling ensures that the saw blade is locked automatically when cutting or clipping. Also, the Metabo circular saw is equipped with a lock which prevents you from turning it on unintentionally.  

Operation of the Metabo circular saw

The operation of the Metabo KS 66 circular saw is very simple. So you just have to insert the circular saw and you can get started. Just as easy to use with the Metabo circular saw, the settings are as simple as that. Without tools and with little effort, you can adjust the angle and the depth of cut. It is always possible to see exactly which settings have been made at the angle and the depth of the cut with the circular saw. The Metabo KS 66 circular saw also makes saw blade changes very easy. By means of a saw shaft locking in the circular saw, a change in the Metabo KS 66 circular saw is possible without difficulty. A corresponding key for unscrewing the saw blade is included in the scope of delivery of the circular saw. In connection with the extraction of the Metabo KS 66 circular saw, it should be emphasized that this can be connected with all common suction devices. Special transition pieces are not required for the Metabo KS 66 circular saw. All in all, one can work very cleanly with the suction due to the arrangement of the suction.  

Handling the circular saw

As already mentioned in the technical information on the KS 66 circular saw from Metabo, the circular saw comes to a weight of 6 kg. Regarding the handling of the circular saw, the weight is of course not insignificant. With 6 kg, the circular saw is not a light weight, although it is nevertheless very good in the hand. On the front side, there is also a control handle for the circular saw, which also ensures easy handling with the circular saw.
