In Europe, the smartphone market is still dominated by HTC, Sony, Samsung and Apple, but the corporations could now get competition from China. The manufacturer Meizu introduces the Pro series and as the first high-end smartphone is now to appear the Meizu Pro 5. For many smartphone fans, Meizu is a synonym for MX products. The attachment pro is added to the MX smartphones, but this is no longer just the pure nomenclature. Now this is to change.With the Meizu Pro 5, the Chinese manufacturer wants to give the starting shot to the new Pro series and this can be understood as a submark. The Pro 5 should clearly differ from the previous models. The processor Snapdragon 810 was officially excluded from Meizu for its Pro series. In the CPU, the heat problems were too great in the past. The manufacturer had instead thought to use the Helio X20 from Mediatek or the Exynos 7420 from Samsung. The size of the memory was 4 gigabytes. The internal memory should be 32 gigabytes. In Full HD is the display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolve. The top equipment has, of course, its price and so the device is something 400 euros cost.

The Meizu Pro 5 is an Android smartphone with a 5.7 inch FHD display. Chosen was the Exynos CPU 7420 from Samsung and there is a maximum of four gigabytes of RAM. Regarding the memory Meizu then decided not for 32 gigabytes, but for 64 gigabytes. The camera from Sony is very strong and it offers 21 megapixels. The device also offers the USB Type C connector and LTE.  

Why Meizu?

Meizu has launched a new Android smartphone. Regarding the design, the Meizu can be very similar to Apple's iPhone 6. A chip from Samsung was installed as a CPU. In the home, there is the version with 3 gigabytes of RAM and with 32 gigabytes of memory. Otherwise there is the version with 4 gigabytes of RAM and with 65 gigabytes of memory. The case is made of metal and it also comes in similar colors as the iPhone 6. You can choose from gold, silver gray, gray and silver. Compared to the larger Apple smartphone it is however with 7.5 millimeters not so slim. Although the screen is larger with 156.7 by 78 millimeters and although the weight is 168 grams, so is slightly lighter and more compact than the iPhone 6 Plus. The display is a super AMOLED display with 5.7 inches and the resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels. The processor from Samsung works under the hood and are installed Mali-T760-GPU and Exynos 7420 CPU, which are also installed in Note 5 and the Galaxy S6. The internal memory is either 64 or 32 gigabytes depending on the model.  

Further important information about the Pro 5

As with the S6, the flash memory uses the new standard UFS 2.0. At the same time, much more data can be transmitted than with the eMMC flash memory. In addition, there is the microSD card slot on the device, so that the capacity can be extended and this is up to 128 gigabytes. Via the USB type C connection, the battery is charged and the capacity is 3050 mAh. On the back there is the camera with 21 megapixels for videos and photos. There is the phase autofocus and the Sony IMX230 image sensor. In 4K, video recordings with 30 and 100 frames per second are to be enabled. For the Videochat and for Selfies, there is on the front the 5-megapixel camera. For communication, there are on board GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, WLAN 802.11ac, UMTS and LTE. Unfortunately, the LTE band 20 is not supported and this is being used very much in the more rural regions. Android Lollipop is used as an operating system and this is based on the Flyme interface in the version 5. There is no app drawer as with Apple iPhone and directly on the Homescreen the applications are filed.
