Operation

Here, the device scored and real measurement errors were in relation to other distance meters only very rare to find.  

Memory and timer

The existing history storage saves on the measurement a tedious recording of the measured values. The timer of the distance meter was very positive in the test, since it provides precise measured values. The timer prevents the angle of the distance meter from being changed towards the target wall, and thus no incorrect measurement can be carried out.

The Leica Disto D2 rangefinder is a popular entry-level device and delivers a little more than a hundred euros for its cheap and fair price, much more than equivalent models from other manufacturers. The compact D2 rangefinder from Leica offers more performance than the competition. In a direct comparison with devices with similar performance, the Disto D2 proved to be a clear test winner. The buyer gets a device from an experienced and prestigious manufacturer, without the brand name must be paid with. The Leica rangefinder is operated with two batteries. The keyboard keypad and the ergonomic design allow for a secure hold. In addition, the D2 is spritzwasserdicht, as well as dust-proof and very easy to clean.
