The HT 900E table fan from Honeywell is a black handy table fan, which provides the necessary cooling in every room in the summer. At least this is promised by the manufacturer. We tested this fan and also looked at the customer reviews and put together the test results.

The plastic-processed fan looks very simple in its design and therefore appears rather unobtrusive in the room. Thanks to its small base and its dimensions of 14.5 x 26 x 28 cm, it is easy to place anywhere. It can also be attached to the wall. This proved to be particularly advantageous in the kitchen, as the heat can become unbearable during cooking. Otherwise the fan can easily be placed on the work table, taking up hardly any space. Before the first start, we expected that the plastic smell would be heard at the beginning, as is often the case with plastic devices. But to our surprise this was not the case. Therefore this fan does not need any "training" in order to be able to work without odor. The fan has three different speed stages. In addition, this is equipped with the speed stage "0". We found it somewhat illogical that the order of the speed steps does not go in sequence, but one has to go over the steps 2 and 3, in order to reach the stage 0, or to turn off the fan. Since the steps 2 and 3 are not necessarily always necessary, we found this somewhat disturbing. But the function of the fan does not suffer from it. With a power of 50 watts the fan cools very well. Unfortunately, the angle of inclination can only be adjusted upwards. However, this is not necessarily a problem when you consider that this fan is designed for smaller rooms. If you want to cool a larger room, you should choose a larger and more powerful fan. According to the manufacturer, this fan operates silently. We can not confirm this. But this does not mean that he is too loud. We found the noise of the fan as tolerable. However, at a higher speed stage, the volume of the TV must be turned up slightly. Also you can sleep with this fan in the bedroom not necessarily quiet. At least not, if one is sensitive to noise. However, if you consider that this is a very favorable fan, which really provides for cooling, you can forgive his loudness of conscience.

The operation of the Honeywell fan is very easy. All that is needed to get it started, connect it to the power and connect it. The desired operating power is then simply selected via the speed stages and adapted to your own requirements. Also the angle of inclination is simply adjusted, if one does not want that the fan on the desk straight blows into the face.  

Price-performance ratio

The price / performance ratio is excellent for this fan. Because the fan provides sufficient cooling even at the highest heat. And at lower speed levels. The highest speed level is basically only used if you want to quickly bring the room to a comfortable room temperature.  

advantages

The advantages of this table fan lie primarily in its small size, so that it can be transported uncomplicatedly from one room to the other. Its performance is really very good, so this can be called as a further advantage. At the low price you can not expect a higher performance. A further advantage of the ventilator is the possibility of placing it on the wall. Thus it is very flexible in its field of application. In smaller rooms, this is an advantage because you do not always have enough room to install the fan. It can easily be mounted on the ceiling.  

disadvantage

The table fan has few disadvantages. And these are points that do not influence his performance. The illogical arrangement of the speed stages can be mentioned as a disadvantage, since it can sometimes be annoying to have to go through all stages first in order to switch off the fan. As a further disadvantage, the noise level can be mentioned, since the latter can be perceived as disturbing at higher speed levels for noise-sensitive ones. We found this to be tolerable.
