For our garden I bought a new motorhook. My choice here has fallen on the Honda FG201 motorhooks. Why it has become a motorhack from Honda and what experiences I have made with it, can be seen in this review.  

Purchase grounds for the Honda FG201 motorhooks

If possible, a high working width and depth, but also a robust workmanship, these three points were very important when buying a motorhook. These points have also been spoken for the Honda FG201 motorhooks. And with this model I also liked the handle very much. The handle can be adjusted both in height and inclination as required. I also liked the low weight and the solid steel construction. At the purchase price, the motorhack from Honda could not convince me.

The Honda FG201 motorhook is made of steel and is powered by gasoline. The engine chopper is equipped with a 4-stroke GXV50 engine. This comes at a maximum output of up to 1.30 KW, the displacement is 49 cm³. The nominal speed is 3800 rpm. The tank comes at a volume of 0.35 liters and the tank for the engine oil at 0.30 liters. It is equipped with a super-easy start from Honda and with a centrifugal clutch. The motorhook is equipped with a 4 x 4 chopping set and comes to a working width of up to 30 cm and a depth of 23 cm. The hack is up to 197 revolutions per minute. The drive is made by a worm gearing. The dimensions of the motorhook come to 118.5 x 45.5 x 98 cm, with a weight of only 17 kg. The motorhook is color-coded in a red design.  

Handling and operation of the Honda FG201 motorhooks

The handling of the Honda FG201 motorhook is simple. Because of the engine which is operated with petrol, one is not pushed at the working radius. What is a big advantage, one can also work with a tank filling very long. When operating itself, you only have to switch on the motorhack and can work directly. All controls for switching on and off, but also for a stop, are located on the handles. Through the handle, the motorhook is very well in the hand. Here, it is also advantageous to adjust the handle at the height and the inclination to suit the needs. The motorhook works very reliably, so even very hard floors are no problem. Due to the low weight of 17 kg, the motorhack can also be easily transported. This is also ensured by a folding wheel with which the motor chopper is equipped.  

Lack of the Honda FG201 motorhooks

With the motorhack one can work very well, whereby I could just find in the use of a defect. This deficiency affects the volume of the motor chopper. This results in up to 93 dB in operation. Especially when you want to work with the motorhook for a long time, this noise is almost unbearable. Without an ear protection you can not work with the motorhack a larger field.
