Test Description and Results:

The Dirt Devil Spider has a suction power of about an hour until it needs to be recharged. The volume of the dust container is sufficient for a normally polluted dwelling of this size, with the dust container not yet fully filled. The emptying of the box is simple and hygienic without dirt contact. Due to its low height, the robot moves easily under tables, sofas and beds. Hair and woolen mice are sucked effortlessly as well as some larger objects. Residues of dispersed cat litter can be absorbed by the brushes. The small heel in the bathroom is easily overcome and the decorative objects lying on the floor are neither shaken nor damaged. Due to the low weight, the device moves effortlessly over runners in the room instead of pushing them around. On the carpet the cleaning performance is not as satisfactory as on the hard floors. In the random principle, the robot moves through the apartment by moving through the apartment either in straight lines, rectangles (along the wall edge) or spirals (changing the direction after being pushed against an obstacle). Sensors warn the device if it is subject to crash, whereupon it changes its direction. It recognizes staircases and, on the table, also the table edge. The dirt is also absorbed by rotating side brushes under doors and cracks.
