Test report: Koopman Timer 550 LEDs Christmas tree lighting
Looking for the light chain
Christmas stood outside the door and I was looking for a fairy for my fir. 2m high and over the years that it was already in my garden now, a good guess.
I had decided that the spirit of Christmas should not only decorate our interior and I, and the children love that transform fir in a proper Weihanachtsbaum wanted.
The flood of offered light chains in the Internet, but then braked me in my zeal. I first had to know what I expected from my purchase.
What must I be able to do?
At the request of the children was the condition of the lighting programs. Because the tree should not only shine in dull light, it should be sometimes a little light show here.
For me, rather the aspect of operational safety and energy saving was crucial. Furthermore, the size should fit and the supply had to be long enough that I could insert the light string at my external socket at the house wall. That meant a distance of 2 meters.
And a desire was my heart. No cold light. Christmas is a solemn feast and there are, in my opinion, no cold lights for decorating.
The choice made
I knew what I was looking for, but it was not easy to find what I was looking for. In the end I came across the Koopman Lighthouse with 550 LEDs. A 11m long lights with 3m supply cable and various refinements for just 30 Euro.
I always looked at the purse and it should be my first experience with an exterior lighting, I had not decided to spend too much money, so the disappointment Would not be too big in the event that my purchase was a purge.
installation
After a few days I had received the package and wondered about the size of the package. She seemed quite small in front of 11m String Lights.
When I opened them I found the fairy lights rolled before. Contrary to my panic that I had to unravel this kink, I could roll it off quite simply. I tested their function by connecting them to the socket and already shone, as promised on the packaging in a pleasant warm-white. Before I went into the other options, I brought the Koopman string to the fir tree. This went quite quickly.
After I had placed all the lights, I tried on the supplied remote and turned on me by the eight lighting functions which had to offer the chain.
About the lighting sequence from the first to the last LED, over the slow dimming of LEDs, all was present.
My kids thought it was cool in his own words.
Theimportant aspects for me were also present. A safety strap, which guaranteed me a safe operation even in the wet, an intact splash protection and a timer. So I did not have to worry about when the lights were on.
Even more energy-efficient it could not be. LED lights and a timer that saved me the consumption of unnecessary electricity.
The first feast with exterior lighting
I had to realize that it worked very well with lighting my fir. The children could try a new lighting function every day and my electricity bill after Christmas was passable. To my surprise, the chain was still intact after six weeks of continuous use. Not a LED had failed and even the rain after New Year had not affected her. I could take off again, roll it up and then tuck back in its original packaging it easy.
In summer, they had a special mission, when my sister married. Because it was raining, she unfortunately could not use her lights on the wedding reception. I could help her out with the Koopmann Light Chain.
Conclusion
The Koopmann Light Chain is certainly a worthwhile investment.Because the price / performance ratio is more than good. The light functions, the remote control and the timer are good helpers for comfortable use and energy saving. The cable with 3m is somewhat short, if for my needs sufficient.
Furthermore, it should be noted positively that the light color, warm white, does not correspond to the usual cold LED color, creating a homely atmosphere.
After a long season it is still completely intact. To the next party. And even if it would break, I would buy this model again and again.
