The Radiowecker XDR C1DBP from Sony offers digital DAB + and DAB. The alarm clock is cube-like with regard to its optics and is generally found in the upper price segment of the radio speakers. It is a mixture of practical and minimalistic, but everything consists of very high-quality elements. Overall, it can be said that Sony has managed a very good mix. The alarm clock makes a very high-quality impression and with the used materials there is a really very good processing. The Radiowecker with DA + leaves nothing to be desired with regard to its equipment. The display shows bluish and the backlight is dimmable. The very good readability of the radiowecker can always be guaranteed. A large clock display is shown in the display and there are also the two lines extra, where various text ads are enabled. Text messages, for example, are broadcast, weekdays or the alarm time. The device has a side USB slot and this is a special highlight. In this case, smartphones can be loaded. At the top and back of the alarm clock there are almost all the buttons for the transmitter to be selected. In addition, it is also possible to set the alarm time and there are many other settings. Haptically the buttons can be felt well and even in the night the buttons can be distinguished very well. Two different alarm times can be set for the alarm clock, whereby the alarm clock can vary weekend and weekday. On the radio, the overall sound sounds fairly neat, and this is all right because the alarm clock has small dimensions. Very good is the reception both with the DAB transmitters and also with FM. Even the weak transmitters are still very well received at the alarm clock.

The display is large and there is the charging function for the smartphones. The two alarm times can be set, the time is always precise via the DAB signal and there is the snooze function. The design is portable and lightweight, there is the integrated dual alarm and the built-in FM radio tuner.
