The ZTE Blade V6 has long been the flagship of the ZTE Blade series, but now is the successor ZTE Blade V7 on the market. This means good prospects, the already rather inexpensive scheduled for the previous dual-SIM mobile phone even cheaper to buy. What you have to do without, where the equipment is still up to date - and well worth the price-performance ratio?
ZTE Blade V6 Test Dual-SIM
  • Android 5.0.2
  • 5.0 inch inch display, 1280 x 720 pixels
  • Quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor (1.3 GHz)

The 5.0 inch HD display has 1280 x 720 pixels on - in this price range usual. It is also clear that this resolution is not high enough at this size to avoid pixel steps. The difference with Full HD screens as the successor V7 can not be argued away. Whether however this is important, is the other question. Because in everyday life one looks usually not so accurate and so focused on individual areas of the image that the coarser representation is particularly striking.
Important might be that the illumination compared somewhat weak. Those who like to use very bright display settings, is likely to interfere with exactly the ZTE Blade V6 in test it. Especially in direct sunlight and if you do not exactly look perpendicularly to the screen, which interferes in practice. but side views are no bright light no problem: even when viewed obliquely, the colors remain natural or at very schränger supervision still recognizable.

operating system

With the blade Android 5.0 V6 can still keep up with all the important functions. The individual benefits of version 6.0 - to use as external memory as internal memory - missing logically. For a new phone that would be a real point of criticism, at an affordable midrange model of the previous generation, it is unacceptable.Especially since it in normal everyday mobile brings no real problems - except for power users, which would anyway not have access to this category.
As usual, ZTE has also been playing its own user interface for V6, MiFavor 3.0. This primarily means that you can outsource Apps nothing in an App Drawer completely - but that they are always placed directly on the home screen. After all: the app icons are drawn colorful and the side screens can be smoothly in the test pull back and forth.

Timeless: The flat, rounded aluminum body is still very good in the hand. Especially compared to the currently best phones this falls to the low weight. At just 122 grams, it is about one quarter to one third lighter than eg Super Phones like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Duos (Test) .Incidentally, this metal case is the main difference with the V6 sister model Blade S6 which is technically equipped otherwise relatively similar.
The slightly rounded side edges of the front are also in terms of design and feel to the amount of time. Of course, it is merely a rounding in the deck-glass, not the display itself. Nevertheless, the V6 can access on the sides in our opinion, precisely because of the flatter side frame thereby better and lasts. Speaking Setting: The wide rim of the display is striking and shows that ZTE has saved here on hardware and construction expenses.

On paper, both cameras promise good performance. 13 megapixel rear, 5 megapixel front - with such a high resolution could compete with some smartphone the upper middle class, the V6 also used. And indeed primarily supplies the main camera in the Blade V6 Test really good results - when the light conditions are not good. At dusk or low light in the interior colors are too pale, yet the contours blurred strong. When shooting, the lightning is useful, the result may again be seen. The dual LED flash allows ample lighting and serves its purpose.
Who needs high definition video size, rear cameras may also use for Full HD shooting. The secondary lens on the front shoots ordinary selfies sufficient slack for the common purpose - to post on social network definitely. Even movie recording is possible, but only at low resolution. Nice for party memories, but no tip to be nice to look at events every now and then.

Similarly good, and also attractively priced is the Huawei P8 lite - several months bestseller on Amazon. The V6 is much less known about it.That has something to do with the fact that the manufacturer ZTE is not as present in Germany and its marketing still needs to develop. What one puts technically more value is a matter of opinion and depends on the purpose. Compare for yourself both phones in the detailed description. Visually and in the physical handling the blade has us V6 can convince some more.
