The special highlight: Both SIM cards can by the manufacturer with LTE speed to the mobile internet - a corresponding mobile phone contract required. Performance and features are overall in midfield. For 219 euros RRP, the Ridge is thus at least for all surf lovers a tip for relatively small price.
display
Wiko has chosen the Ridge 4G on a 5.0 inch display with HD resolution (1280 × 720 pixels). Top models set in this scene on Full-HD. The field still looks good, in direct comparison the difference is but. Little advantage of this: the low resolution also requires less power.

The colors of the IPS displays appear tired and exhibit only from an acute angle a few weaknesses. The side edges adjacent to the panel had been permitted to be somewhat thinner, otherwise correct the relationship between touch screen and frame on the front. cameras
Not spectacular, but in the upper middle: 13 megapixels provides the main camera, 5 megapixels selfie cam above the display. The back lens protrudes minimally from the chassis: the lower part of the lens includes more flush. Because the back is however rounded upwards, the upper range of the camera is there something out. This does not interfere in the hand, however, even if one perceives it every now and then. In the sensor technology to Wiko has incidentally served at Sony, to enhance the image quality. In detailed test will show how well it works.
processor
For the first time installed Wiko a Qualcomm processor in one of his phones. The Snapdragon 410 with 64-bit architecture has 4 cores, clocked at 1.2 GHz and has access to 2 GB of memory. In addition, 16 GB of internal memory available. Overall, provides top class services within the dual SIM phones .

Thus, either two phones - or a memory expansion use. Who wants latter may lodge microSD cards with up to 64GB officially. Funnily allows beginners Phone Lumia 532 even twice (128 MB).
Dual SIM management
Ins Wiko Ridge 4G can be a nano-SIM and insert a micro SIM. This is a so-called dual-SIM standby Smartphone: Accessible one is on each of the two numbers, provided that the other is not already connected to their network. According WiKo LTE is also possible on two cards, even this can not both be simultaneously connected to the Internet. is supported data transfer to LTE cat.4, that is up to 150 Mbit / s download.
design
In terms of value the Ridge can total score quite well. The all-around extending frame Alumonium would have provided a year ago for enthusiasm. Meanwhile, the latest Super Phones are however already a whole step further - not only the iPhone 6, but also the upcoming Galaxy S6 set this by now to complete housing made of metal or glass. but the first Wiko Ridge 4G test the matte-textured back we were pleasantly surprised (perhaps the surface depending on the color variation but different).
