Test report: Marshall MG 30 CFX Guitar Amplifier
The Marshall MG 30 CFX amplifiers have a power of 30 watts and can rightly name power packs. This performance unite them on quite small space, so the speakers have just 10 inches in diameter. These are hidden behind the classic front in the classic Marshall look. The four channels are more than most other amplifiers have to offer. Thus, this device must not shy away from the comparison with other amplifiers of the same price group and can very well keep up well.
While most amplifiers in this price class have just two or three effects, the MG 30 CFX comes with five different effects: besides the classic chorus and the innovative flanger, the MG 30 CFX also offers a phaser effect. Added to this is the well-known and popular delay along with the now standard Reverb effect.
The amplifier has three controls: bass, middle and treble, all of which are easily accessible at the front of the amplifier. These are made in the usual optics and impress with good usability and easy handling.
But that is not yet the special thing about the amplifier. In contrast to other devices of its price class, the amplifier is not only programmable, it is fully programmed and can be turned into a real sound miracle with just a few hand movements. Here, once again, the manufacturer's love for the detail and for the special. The
Connections have been extended by a 3.5 mm connection in addition to the usual connections. This is intended for any MP3 player. Of course the connection for the guitar is not missing. It is a 6.3 mm jack, which serves as a connection for the guitar to be played.
