Test report: Beurer AS 80 Fitness Tracker
This activity sensor and fitness strap by Beurer is a black fitness tracker. With the bracelet AS 80 everyone can control their activities and even analyze the sleep with the free HealthManager app. The activity sensor records the steps, counted distances are counted, and activity and calorie consumption are determined. In addition, the Beurer AS 80 Fitness Tracker always checks the achievement of a daily exercise goal. The physical activities are continuously recorded by the Beurer AS and there is also the vibration alarm function.
What is to be observed with the Beurer AS80?The new Activitystracker comes in the noble and very timeless design. Because of its price, the device is clearly in the lower midfield and thus it is a tracker for the broad masses. The device itself is relatively reliable and the step counter does not turn out to be a test. It should not be forgotten, however, that this is not a high-priced device and therefore not the same performance can be expected. The workmanship can be judged as good and must be considered however in any case, that this device is not waterproof. However, the device is protected against splashing water. The fitness tracker is relatively light and so it can be worn even at night. With the display, it is important here that the fitness bracelet is always reasonable to read. The Tracker is also supplied with the USB cable for charging on the laptop or computer and also a short manual.
What are the features of the Beurere AS80?This tracker comes from Beurer with some useful measuring functions. Of course, on the one hand the steps are counted and this is somewhat inaccurate, but the distance covered as well as the duration of the activity are also measured. In addition, there is also the daily step goal in the Fitness Tracker. Not only the activities can be recorded with the device during the day, but also the measurement of the sleep duration and during the sleep the movement activity can be measured. Relatively good are the results of the night recording and with the other products within the price class the results can keep up. After the restful night, the bracelet can gently vibrate the owner. The clock is displayed on the display but this is not permanent, but only at the push of a button. This is important because energy is saved. According to the manufacturer the memory of the bracelet should hold thirty days and seven nights.
The application and motivation of the fitness trackerThe display has a clock and the HealthManager will do everything else. The data are stored there, then analyzed and then compared. This also happens in very clear and appealing graphics. Anyone who wants to transfer the data can do this through the connection via Bluetooth or through the included USB cable. The data are synchronized via the manager with all devices like PC, Smartphone and Laptop. With the app the possible functions are relatively limited, but all necessary analysis and adjustment possibilities are available. Not really can the fitness bracelet score with motivation, because there is hardly one. With the tracker there is only one motivation source and this is the comparison of the measured values within the HealthManager.
The Beurer AS80 also offers what is promised. However, this is not the case. In the measurements the data for the price are in the upper midfield and for some users they are certainly also sufficient. If the user also wants very accurate data or many possibilities of the analysis, then tracker from the higher price segment are needed and here also there are more accurate measurements. In its price segment, however, the Beurer AS80 is very good and competitive results are delivered.
