The HaierPad H6000 is a mix of dual SIM smartphone and tablet – a so-called “phablet”.Only recently was ever announced that the otherwise well-known household appliances manufacturer Haier dual SIM phones will produce, namely a number of models. Now the Chinese brand on the occasion of CES 2014 has already announced its first dual-SIM phablet: the HaierPad H6000.
Almost exactly 6 “Display Diagonal
In general, called phablet than those large smartphones and small tablets, which have screen size 5-7 inches. To that extent the HaierPad H6000 lies exactly in the middle of this product line. In fact, it has a 5.98 “(15.18 cm) large touch screen. Who the screen of a normal smartphone is not big enough, but a classic tablet is too unwieldy, could here so find the right model.
For Resolution: This is a Full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels) with a very high pixel density of 373dpi – which is so high that individual pixels with the human eye can no longer be distinguished and sharp picture quality is possible.
2 cameras – with 13 and 5 megapixels
For use also comes the IPS technology, which generally provides a particularly large viewing angle: So you should also be able to see a good image of the page – which is practical for example if you sit on the couch, watching a movie via tablet and not always want to rigid perpendicular to the display.
If you want to not only view pictures, but also record itself: the HaierPad H6000 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, which significantly higher than the standard for dual SIM phones lies. The front camera triggers with 5 megapixels also above average, and enables HD movie recording.
Operating System: Android 4.2
The fact remains that, except for some top phones with the latest Android versions are (4.3, 4.4) has hardly used. It remains with the H6000 at the widespread and still contemporary version 4.2. The H6000 is therefore not the first model in our dual SIM mobile phone with a test OS version Android 4.3 or 4.4. Whether Haier at the actual operating system still wants to create a user interface and how it should be designed, currently remains unclear. As the control of the 2 SIM cards will be integrated into Android, has also not yet been presented.
Also timely is the announced quad-core processor for which however no frequency specified. Thus, the operating speed can not even estimate unfortunately. The 2 GB of memory is likely to be well-dimensioned, since even added a 16GB large flash memory.
Fast mobile Internet with HSPA +
Smartphones and tablets are especially in terms of mobile Internet – for example when browsing or streaming music and video – already about to desktop computers to outdo. It is therefore gratifying that Haier will not save on transmission standards. For the H6000, the company announces connections with 2G, 3G and even HSPA + – and for both SIM cards. What specific transmission rates should be possible, but has not betrayed.
Housing and Dimensions
As long as the new Haier dual SIM phones are not presented and ready no test equipment, we can say about materials, quality and processing only this: All tablets, including the HaierPad H6000 are to receive a “noble aluminum housing” in Matt Black , That sounds good, but needs to be checked H6000 test yet in a later HaierPad. Based on the previously presented dimensions can however already say that it will be as promised by the manufacturer, be an extremely thin phablet: Only 8.2 mm thick, it should be, so it occupies a top position. The announced weight of 205 g is fine, however in this size class not unusual.
Haier announced a recommended retail price of 349 € for the HaierPad H6000. For a 5.98 “Full HD phablet with Android 4.2, quad-core and sleek aluminum case that sounds like a fair price, but not for a bargain. Depending on the rating in dual SIM mobile test this assessment could change but of course. WE are excited.
